About Us
Welcome to The Nested Garden.
We are Mark and Pat Nash, a family owned and operated flower farm.
The Nested Garden is nestled on 11 acres in Washington County~Bristol Virginia.
We built our dream home, in the center of a cow field, over 2 years beginning
in 2007. Our soil is rich and perfect for growing trees, shrubs, flowers
and vegetables. Beautiful landscape gardening has always been a primary focus
of our gardens. Being an empty-nester, I found myself out in the flower beds
more frequently. Over time, we have added a few more landscaping beds.
Just prior to the pandemic, Mark gifted me a 10x12 greenhouse. He primed and
painted each piece black. After assembling the greenhouse and building shelves
inside, he built a shed off one side and installed a sink and counter space. This is one of my favorite, special areas of our property.
We have added new growing spaces to our gardens each year.
In the fall of 2025 completely renovated our raised garden bed area. This space is the center of our Garden Tour/Bloom Bar events. We offer scheduled events as well as private parties.
New for 2026 is The Nested Garden Flower Shed! The Flower Shed is located at the front of our property, on the corner of Reedy Creek Rd and Dettor Rd. Follow us on Facebook/Instagram and subscribe to our email list to keep up to date on The Flower Shed hours of operation.
Over the years, I have found my love for growing cut flowers. I never knew how much tender-love and attention it took to grow flowers from seed. It is truly amazing to watch a tiny seed grow into a beautiful flower. I have been reading, researching, taking courses and gathering all the information I can about growing cut flowers.
We grow a variety of specialty cut flowers, perennial flowers, grasses and shrubs. All of the flowers in our arrangements come from our gardens or are foraged from our family’s yards. On occasion and during the winter months we may need to outsource flowers.
We welcome you to follow along with us on making our flower farm a space where we can host our community, as well as provide a lovely bouquet of flowers to someone you love.
